Privacy Policy for Red Eye Remover

Red Eye Remover helps you correct red-eye effects in photos. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
Sections 1–10 below describe the iOS app. Section 11 describes the Android app, including Google Play purchases and technical diagnostics. The contact information applies to both platforms.
1. Information Collection
Red Eye Remover does not collect or transmit your photos or personal information to the developer. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, tracking technologies, or developer-operated servers.
2. Photo Processing and Face Data
You choose which photos to open through the iOS photo picker. The app processes the selected images locally on your device to detect faces, locate eyes, and correct red pupils.
Face and eye detection is used only for photo correction. The app does not identify people, create facial identity profiles, or use your photos to train AI models. Photos, facial landmarks, and correction data are not uploaded to the developer or shared automatically with third parties.
3. Local Storage and Retention
The app may keep temporary copies of imported photos and exported images in its local storage while you edit, save, or share them. It attempts to remove session files when you leave a photo and removes obsolete exports when edits change. Temporary files may remain after an interrupted session until cleared by iOS or removed with the app.
Editing preferences, such as correction radius and strength, are stored locally on your device. The developer cannot access these preferences or your locally stored images.
4. Photo Access, Saving, and Sharing
The iOS photo picker lets you select individual images without granting the app unrestricted access to your photo library.
When you save a corrected photo, the app requests permission to add a new image to your photo library. Your original photo is not overwritten. You can manage this permission in iOS Settings.
When you choose to share an image, iOS passes it to the app or destination you select. That destination handles the image under its own privacy policy. Saved and shared copies remain in those destinations until you remove them there.
The app does not require access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
5. Photo Metadata
Corrected photos are exported as new PNG files. Original EXIF metadata, including embedded GPS location information, is not copied into the exported file.
6. Apple Services
Apple services, including iCloud Photos, device backups, and system diagnostics, operate according to your device settings and Apple's privacy policies. For example, a corrected photo saved to your library may sync through iCloud Photos if you have enabled it. These services operate separately from the app's local photo processing.
7. Your Choices
You control which photos you open, whether you save or share a result, and the app's Photos permission. Removing the app removes its local app data; it does not remove copies you saved to Photos, Files, backups, or other destinations. The developer holds no server-side copies of your photos to access or delete.
8. Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The same on-device processing practices apply to all users.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its privacy practices. The updated version will show a revised date at the top of this page.
10. Contact

If you contact the developer, the information you choose to provide will be used to respond to your request. Please avoid sending photos or other personal information unless needed for your inquiry.
11. Android App
On Android, you select individual photos through the system photo picker. Photos and eye-location data are processed locally to correct red pupils, without identifying people or uploading photos to the developer. Editing session files are stored in the app’s private storage to support recovery after interruptions. Opening a different photo or closing the current editing session removes that session’s files; uninstalling removes local app data. Editing sessions are excluded from Android cloud backup.
The app saves a new PNG through Android MediaStore or a destination you choose in the system file picker. The original is not overwritten. Original EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates, is not copied into the exported PNG. System sharing grants the destination you choose access to an exported copy. Your chosen destination handles its own saved or shared copies under its privacy policy. The app does not request unrestricted photo-library access, camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions.
Google Play purchases and diagnostics
The free daily allowance and editing preferences are stored locally. Optional lifetime Pro purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. The app receives purchase identifiers, purchase tokens and purchase status to verify and acknowledge purchases and restore access. The developer does not receive payment-card details. The app uses no advertising or developer analytics SDK.
Google Play Billing and its bundled Google service/diagnostic components may process purchase information, technical diagnostics and device/service identifiers under Google’s policies. Photos and facial landmarks are not sent to these services by this app. An internet connection and Google Play are required to purchase or restore Pro; photo correction itself runs offline. Google services, Google Photos synchronization, device backups and system diagnostics otherwise follow your device and account settings.
The Android app is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children. Diagnostic data may be processed by Google to operate and improve billing services. The developer does not operate a diagnostic-data backend or receive your payment-card details. Data sent to Google services uses encryption in transit. Google handles retention and deletion of service data under its policies and account controls. You can remove the app’s local data through Android Settings or uninstall the app; exported copies must be deleted from their chosen destination.
